Literature Text

(Verse 1)
My aspirations
lie shattered on the floor.
I can't go on pretending
that I'll be alright anymore.
My heart starts racing
every time I gaze into your eyes.
I don't wanna hide my feelings from you
behind my gilded mask of lies...
I wanna take you by the hand
and tell you what I really need to say.
You're all I think about
every moment of every day.
Just the thought of losing you
is enough to rip my heart in two.
I'm a slave to my ambition
because I can't let go of you.

(Chorus)
Don't run away and leave me all alone,
I can't deal without you in my life.
You mean the world to me, more than you could ever know.
I feel the moment drawing near, it's time to do or die.

(Verse 2)
I can't describe the joy I feel
when I'm held within your embrace
or the pain that it would cause me
to see tears rolling down your pretty face.
When my mind is jumbled,
you're the only piece that fits.
I've waited my whole life
for a feeling just like this.
Now it's getting close,
we're running out of time.
I never wanna lose this blessing,
don't wanna have to say good-bye.
But you say you can't remain
right here with me tonight.
I can't let you disappear,
it's time for me to stand and fight!

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)
It can't be over,
there's still so much I have to try.
I believe that we can make it
so I'm looking to the skies.
I won't let this bring me down,
I'll stand by you until the end.
I'll protect you 'til the day I die
as your lover or as your friend.
I'd lay my life down for you
because you're everything to me.
I'm never gonna let you down,
I'll be here for you for all eternity.
I'll relinquish all my fears
and give you all my love.
If we fight through this together,
I know that we can rise above!

(Chorus X2)
Another original from The Shadows of Society. It's a bit of a love ballad, but I still haven't found that right girl to sing it to, or have I? lol
